How was AquaRating created?

AquaRating emerged from the shared interest and drive of the IDB and the IWA to improve people's lives by strengthening the delivery of water and sanitation services through the development of reliable diagnostics that include performance and practices in everything that affects the quality of services provided and their economic, social, and environmental sustainability. After its first version focused on reliable diagnostics, it evolved toward using those diagnostics for decision-making in the development of action plans for strengthening and improvement and in monitoring their implementation. The AquaRating system was funded by AquaFund.
